Mental Health & Wellbeing

Pastoral Support

Northgate Sixth Form is a friendly, welcoming community and at the heart of that is the welfare of our students. We aim to create an inclusive environment where emotional wellbeing is equally important as academic achievement.

Our mental health can be affected in different ways and the Sixth Form team are always here for you to provide support, advice and guidance.

Below is some information on websites, podcasts and apps that can provide support for your mental health.

An NHS mood self-assessment tool. If you’re 16 or over, this mood self-assessment can help you better understand how you’ve been feeling recently.

Young Minds

Kooth provides free, safe and anonymous online support for young people and has helped improve the lives of children, young people and adults by connecting them with clinicians and each other in safe, supportive online communities.

The Source

The Source website has been created to provide information, advice and sources of support to young people in Suffolk – when they need it, on a range of issues that impact their lives. The Source website is aimed at supporting young people in Suffolk aged 11–19 years old (up to 25 for young people with additional needs).
